For consistency with 'null' and to better reflect the programming concept of 'nil' as the absence of a value, I recommend using 'null' here as well. 'शून्य' is too strongly associated with the numerical value zero.
Issue breakdown
- specificity While 'शून्य' (shunya) means zero, 'nil' in programming often implies the *absence* of a value, not necessarily zero. 'शून्य' is better suited for numerical zero.
- consistency Inconsistent with 'null' which is kept as is. Consider if a loanword approach is preferred for all absence concepts.
