While 'hayyamuu' isn't *wrong*, 'dhiyeeuu' (to set/establish/assign) is a more direct and common Oromo verb for assigning a value. It better captures the action of creating a variable and giving it a value. It also aligns better with the concept of 'let' in many programming contexts.
